Letter from the Editor (writer, proof reader and researcher) So Simple? There are those who do and those who read or talk about it. Well, it is simple and like the caller on the radio show said, “God is in the breath, and if you get enough of it in you, it can work miracles” As magical or miraculous as it seems, it still requires you to submit to the process, engage the breathing mechanism and aim your intent for it to work. Yes it can perform wonders on your behalf because it taps into your spiritual power base. At least that’s what the ancient philosophers taught. It didn’t need to be a secret because so few would be able to persist long enough to find out if what they were being told was true. As fewer and fewer were able to focus their mind on any one thing, gradually the knowledge fell from popular usage. An old remedy long forgotten, focused breathing still works to help people regardless of their current situation. I wonder how many ways I must create to announce this good news?. Who will you be in another month? The promise is that you will be more of your self and much less of your ego driven personality traits, history and memory--if. How will it look? That’s up to you. How engaged will you become and how open is your mind? What’s the best thing for you personally that could happen in the next 30 days? Make that your intention and goal. Put the plan for your life into movement every morning with a ritual of Full Wave Breathing--to re-mind yourself at the start of the day. Put notes everywhere. Dedicate 30 minutes for the first week. Spend no more than an hour with breathing and recovery time total during the first month. Inhale your intention as it translates into an affirmation. Exhale your tension and go deeper into your relaxation. Let me know of your results. There IS a place 'tho I am not allowed to say where. Old dogs go there to remember their puppy hood. Children go there and lose their memory upon returning. Their hearts recall, but school and religion take care to exorcise their innocence so its effect is limited in polite society. Thus it seems that time passes if it even exists at all. Readers of Just Breathe! Will recall a few months ago that I mentioned a device coming that would monitor the intake of medications. Now there is one. It’s a necklace called the MagneTrace and it relies upon tiny magnets embedded in pills that registers intake and then wirelessly transmits data to a “caregiver.” Isn’t progress grand? Next you’ll be asked to lineup for your implant so your licensed healthcare provider can track your habits and keep you safe. I wonder if a loudspeaker would then be installed in your head as part of the package? How about an optic nerve adapter so your world can be seen through your eyes before determining what is best for you? Big brother really would be watching! On slow news days; times when disaster and murder take a break, the latest “News Update” is likely to contain the inflammatory opinion of someone selected for their lack of education and pervasively unthinking bias. Once exposed to this sheepdip, you are then invited to respond by flying the flag of your own personal opinion, sending it (and any photo) to the email of the news anchor desk. But hey, how else can 15 minutes of news be repeated so it spans a period of 24 hours? “This, just in from Antartica (Not Antarctica)—cold spell threatens; find out how this affects you after the break.” Packaging Preferences Produce Pet Peeves In 2004, 6500 Americans were admitted to emergency rooms for the treatment of injuries sustained while attempting to liberate their CD players, memory cards and children’s dolls from the impervious clamshell packaging. I once bought a file (you know, hardened steel) and the protective covering required me to take a hacksaw to it in order to free it for use. One of our instructors was lamenting that she didn’t know it all, and so wanted to know how she could lead the people who came to her if her knowledge was limited. The answer given her was that as long as she was one step ahead on the trail of life, she could be a reliable guide to the person behind her. Understanding that the third grade student is not as knowledgeable as the fourth grader does not imply a judgment. It also reveals nothing about later grade levels or higher education. Instead it only asserts that more may have been learned through experience. Each of us is led and each must become a leader. Many readers of Just Breathe! have read my story of overcoming tremendous physical challenges with my health through knowledge and persistence. Others know of my story of awakening—one of those epiphany experiences where you know you know and know you won’t be able to either tell it all or comprehend the vastness of what you have experienced. Still others know me only in my role as writer and promoter of Full Wave Breathing. I’ve been on the “trail” for some time now, leaving corporate America at age 38 and setting off on the pursuit of Truth. Contrary to what Mulder has said, it isn’t “Out There.” It is, if my own experience and the written testimony of countless sages have any validity, within. The answer to the question of how to get to that within place, how to operate it, rely upon it, keep it in alignment and be able to get to it when you need it is one of the purposes of it, keep it in alignment and be able to get to it when you need it is one of the purposes of publishing this newsletter. Think of the newsletter as helpful hints along the way for the conscious soul.You can also think of it as a monthly course in consciousness raising if you like, because by stating your intent that your conscious vibration increase, you incline in that direction. Inclining in that direction, you are automatically connected with others having the same intent and a group energy is created. The group energy then serves the purpose of the individuals toward increasing their conscious awareness. Dr. Hawkins, when he wrote his books, said that enlightenment was exceedingly rare. From my perspective there are a lot more enlightened souls—those with knowledge of themselves are more than their body, emotion or mind, and an expression of a higher power or Creator/Source—than has been guessed. It has been my experience that there is an enlightened space within each of us and if that part is spoken to, it responds. I have proven this in fast food joints, jails, churches and schools. Problem is when that part is not being spoken to or addressed, the person frequently falls back asleep. Think of enlightenment—Self-conscious awareness--as being like awakening in the morning. You know you are up and about and leaving the state called sleep and the dreams that occurred. An enlightened person has also awakened from the dream—the materialistic one that she is a body with flesh and feelings. This person is also aware that she has a mind that thinks what she has been taught. Now you (she) are up, how will you spend your day? Now that you are awake, how can you stay that way, find out most quickly what your purpose in being awake is and get most effectively to the task of fulfilling (realizing, achieving) that purpose? The Just Breathe@ newsletter is intended to be an answer to that question so that at least once a month, you reinforce that aspect of yourself that is here to make your life all that it can be and thus contribute to the whole of humanity including your family, friend, and co-workers and community members plus all other creatures. If the above seems too simple for you, I have written now 5 books providing extensive information and detail. Perhaps it would be more effective if this small article were titled: The Cause and Cure For Cancer; or Heart Disease Lurks in the Shadows. Or, how about, Death is the End of Ignorance? What would it take for YOU to begin a Self-Help-Yourself program? You are the ONLY expert on your mindbodyspirit system. When will you step up and take action. Remember the part where you are supposed to Just Breathe AND THEN TAKE THE NEXT STEP? What would it take? Each month, I repeat the same (expert advice—{like that one?} or is it esoteric wisdom or secrets of the sages or religious remedies or latest scientific studies that gets your attention? Can you, today, at least start with your breathing? Yeah I have self-interest here. I write to a limited audience—the more conscious and awake. There aren’t nearly as many of you as there are those who are less awake or conscious. So I value you more highly and not just because you are fewer in number; also because you are the only ones who will be buying our products! Seriously, who else is going to support the promulgation of a method that is free for the using, effective in 85% of dis-ease embracement and emancipates you from the dependence upon cutting up your body (called surgery to make it more acceptable) or taking poisons (called medicine for the same reason)? So you are of great value to me and it is important that you live long enough for all of us to spread the word and get everybody taking care of themselves. I need you to “get with it,” so we can get more people “with it” and in the flow with the harmony of life? Step ONE? If it is to be? It IS up to Thee. There’s another book waiting on Self-Love. It is 200 pages of why with biblical and scriptural references, quotes by quantum scientists, medical poobahs, sages and saints. It’s point is simple—Just Do It! For those of you who are seriously committed to your transformation of consciousness, transcendence of the ego mind, and achieving higher levels of peace and joy, its time to get with it. Not ready yet? OK, let me know when you are done with your suffering—or at least reached the point where you’d be open to finding out how to reduce and even eliminate it. From this point on, you can suffer (optional) and shut up about it (having turned away from eliminating it) or you can get on with it. As the quote I have used for the last three months points out—everything else is just stalling! The ego
“stuff” naturally arises as you breathe fully, for it was initially created when
you shut off your breathing. You “solved” the emotional issue at the time by
shutting down. Now you re-solve the issue—stored for many years—by opening to
the feeling avoided for so long and integrating it through the use of your
breath. Repeated over time, this exercise enhances clarity and creativity. You are not your emotions. Isn’t it time to unload the baggage and step into your power (in the present) instead of dragging around your past? As usual I don’t ask you to believe me and I do ask you to see for yourself. 30 days of this activity of your Full Wave Breathing for ½ hour daily with an intention of Joy will produce personal transformation? Who will you be? More or your real self. Simple formula: do the work=get the result! What If It Was As Simple As Remembering To Just Breathe! ...and to doing the next thing? What if the Universe was only awaiting your move into states of mind-body-spirit harmony to produce greater joy and aliveness? In the last two issues we examined a trend that will surely continue—the scanning of brains to determine the most effective ads to run on television. It works, of course, even when your logic might argue otherwise. For example, did you know that your pleasure centers light up with growing intensity as the price of a wine increases—even when the wine is the same? Please remember it is NOT the mission of media to inform you. Instead their mission is to sell your eyeballs to advertisers. Thus a show, news or otherwise, will attempt to frighten you—“how this threatens your safety; after the break”—so you’ll stay tuned in during the commercials. Brain scanning is still too complex to be an exact science—the brain has about 100 billion synapses, with around 10,000 other neurons. This yields about a quadrillion synapses “on-line” at any given time or the number of people on 150,000 Earths. Even with all of the complexity, researchers are interested and pursing both the advertising and the political use of brain scanning. Conclusions so far show that Republicans win elections because Democrats target the logic-loving dorsolateral prefrontal cortex while Republicans aim at the emotional ventromedial cortex. Perhaps as brain scanning researchers continue their work they’ll find a way to engineer the social changes sought by the (then) current administration (or military). What is difficult is to keep the mind focused on the goal and not on it’s not being currently realized. It requires tremendous mental discipline to focus upon receiving and being grateful for having received/achieved the goal. Fortunately, there is a set of training wheels you can use to train your brain to be aware in the present and not get caught up in regret, worry, and other low-energy, life draining states. The training wheels are your inhale and exhale. That’s right; you can use your breathing to keep you on track. First you open up the body, restoring circulation and oxygenating cells, tissues and organs. Then you use your breathing to engage your feeling body so you can empower your emotions in behalf of goals. Now you are ready to train the mind and can more effectively use affirmation and imagery by combining them with your breathing. It sounds simple, and it is. It is also easy. We take about 28,000 breaths a day and each of them is an opportunity to open up the lower lobes of the lungs through what Dr. Douillard calls "whole lung breathing." Shallow breathing reaches only the upper lungs and triggers the stress receptors. Whole lung breathing reaches the lower lobes and activates the calming receptors that reside there. It stimulates the lymphatic system so waste products can be efficiently carried from the body. Finally, breathing into the lower lobes allows the rib cage to be elastic and open. Worldwide, Life Expectancy in the year 2025 is expected to rise to 73 years. In 1955 that figure was 48 years. New brain research indicates that people with more oxytocin in their birth process bonded better to mom and people in general, are easier to get along with and more social. Those of us with less tend to remember our lives in the womb and before, are less amenable to authority (parents, education and government) in addition to being more independent. So did you choose your birth biochemistry? Eavesdropping on a Conversation—conclusion He remembered Paul and Carly with fondness as two of his teachers along the way and breathed himself into his light body for travel. This time, he would meet with another of his teachers from the mental realms who held one of the twelve dimensional rays that create the etheric webbing of the planet. He began to breathe and expand. An Ascended Master, as he was referred to, the teacher first came to the attention of the public in the writings of Russian mystic, Helena Blavatsky, and, later through the information provided by Alice Bailey. The Master’s task, having completed his human evolution, was to assist in the awakening of humanity to their own divine presence so that the world could unify in love instead of destroy itself in separation and conflict. He was immediately reminded that ancient teachings spoke of the periods of rise and fall of civilizations on earth. Now after a long period of decline, the tide was turning and people were awakening to lives of meaning and purpose in greater numbers that ever before. The Great Plan as it was historically called, predicted the next rising in consciousness and described in a general sense the part each awakened soul was to play He had learned that once the inner contact with one’s Inner Self, the Inner Self of All, was made, individual projects would be expressed according to the unique creativity and capability of each human. He breathed in the feeling of this master’s expression of Presence and relaxed. Teacher: Greetings, how may I assist you? Student: I wanted to know more about Love and how people go from being beautiful children that are welcomed by everyone to become “groan-ups.” Teacher: The process of invalidation is build into the current cultural process. Remember it is only recently that your science has acknowledged the sensitivity and awareness of the infant state. Even now, one of the major spiritual challenges is to become a self-generating source of approval for one’s decisions. The easiest way to accomplish this is to develop one’s sensitivity to inner knowing—intuition. When making a decision, try it on for feeling. Follow the feeling. The difficult part for most people is to feel again after shutting down in childhood. Most adults experience the re-runs of their childhood emotional decisions including the one to constrict feeling. That is one reason why your breathwork is of such value in that it, if practiced over time, restores the flow of energy to the feeling body, opening and resolving stored tension and stress. The “Inner Child Movement” of a few years ago was well intended even if it did lean toward indulgence of ego behaviors. One can achieve the child-like state of innocence even as an adult. Doing so requires a trust of life that comes from living in the present moment of feeling. Student: What is the nature of Ascended Masters? We exist on another plane, the mental realm that interpenetrates the physical while appearing to be separate from it. We live and have bodies made of the same substance—thought—as are physical bodies. Here, time is everywhen as if you were to enter a library to access a book. Think of the Ascended Masters as graduate students of material life, providing access to wisdom. The wisdom itself comes from the Higher Self and we can be considered a connecting link to it. For simplicity, imagine a self that is you at another level with 7 projections or you’s for each century. Each is a character in a book, each century a chapter of the whole. The books are tended by librarians, each responsible for 7 books. The library holds thousands of these books, and each one is a living creation. If that were not complicated enough for the human mind, each character traverses multiple paths as choices not made in one version are selected in others, producing an infinite variety of creative expression. Of course this description is only a drop in the proverbial ocean of consciousness as each individual is a drop in the Universal consciousness. This is not, however, to diminish the importance of the individual, since each is part of Ocean without which IT would not be whole. Humans are thus much more than they think or their thinking as it is normally defined. We, the Ascended Ones, like the graduate student are still developing in linear time. Our existence is outside of time; that which I referred to as everywhen. We are part of the human experience and our wisdom is available to all who ask. We exist as a construct for that purpose. You are our creators. Like angels, we may be called upon as you access a part of yourself that is seemingly separate. If that were so, of course, access would be impossible. The best way to contact one’s connection with inner wisdom is through meditative techniques designed for that purpose, including various breathing forms. Student: Where do you go when you finish “graduate school?” Teacher: Creator school is next. There the “librarians” I spoke of care for the characters in their books. It is complex to explain since it is multidimensional, being everywhere along with everyone and you are limited by your human perceptual and comprehentional equipment along with duality-based language. Perhaps you have some more mundane matters to discuss. Student: OK, what about global warming? Global climate change is an ongoing phenomenon as your planet revolves around your sun in a changing path and is influenced by the movement of other planets and objects in your solar system as well as the sun. The sun changes and those changes directly affect your weather. The sun, in turn is influenced by other celestial bodies ad infinitum. There is no simple answer. Your scientists are aware that Earth has no future unless pollution and environmental concerns are address. Brilliant solutions to your problems will be discovered. And yes, there will be displacement and disruption, seemingly cataclysmic change. Life, however, is continuous. Villages and civilizations grow and decline, emerge and disappear in an ongoing process. Isn’t your question really, What’s going to happen to us all?” The answer to that is you will be fine. How that works out is the topic of the book in which you are a character in a chapter. As your extensive studies of reincarnation have proven to you, everyone survives—consciousness is everlasting. The form does shift and change. Your culture fears death—a reflection of ego’s desire for security. You imagine yourself separated from your loved ones and so experience it as true. At other times, in other cultures, death was seen as the graduation experience, celebrated and welcomed as a new beginning. Student: What of those who recently were swept away by the cyclone or crushed by the earthquake? Where are they? Without drama, they are recycled as part of a life wave. You have spoken with those who “died” as a result of accident or during medical treatment, only to return. They told of their experience of light and the feeling of being loved. You, yourself, have likewise “returned” and continued with your version of your “life.” Only those who do not fear death can fully embrace life and belief in a heaven can be a powerful force in the individual’s life. Mostly what people fear is pain. There is none at the point of passing from one realm to the next. The other thing that is feared is punishment. God does not punish; that is left to the individual. Beliefs determine one’s “way station” upon death and they are much influenced and mostly determined according to one’s cultural indoctrinations. Few have cause or interest to go beyond what they are taught. Life, though, is ongoing and all eventually awaken. The character you are in the book of your life is but a part of who or what you are. Yet that part never dies and is included in the whole. All is forgiven for participation in earth life is a difficult matter, filled with challenge and change. It is only a character that you play and any judgments you might have only go to show you that you are not the character and have within, as do all, the whole of creation as the ground of your being. Student: How then is one to “make” a life? Teacher: Uncover or Discover your nature as Love and live from that place. The rest is conversation and drama. It does work out. Be at peace. He opened his eyes and breathed for a few minutes. Then he began attending to the affairs of his mindbodyspirit system. He had already worked out that if he was to be somewhere else, doing something else, he would be. Since he was “here,” wherever that here was, was where he was supposed to be. Taking care of his responsibility for the care, feeding and nurture of his physical, emotional, mental and spiritual vehicle was his job. (Joy Of Being) The rest would unfold naturally as it does for all. Breathe THIS way, the Full Wave way, for awhile—never mind what you did before. Afterward see that you find yourself in a more receptive and prayerful state. What more proof do you need? Breathe and Grow Rich Reminder How is breathing connected with getting rich? It’s all about energy and having extraordinary physical energy directly influences emotional, mental and spiritual energy. They are all needed for extraordinary productivity. How can one expect to ignore the demands that the human body makes every day? You can’t. Are healthier, happier employees more productive? Of course. In a time of dwindling global energy in the form of oil there is also a dwindling of human energy owing to growing stressors. Ignoring the problem of human energy is a sure formula for personal economic decline. The remedy? You read about it every month. What exactly to do about it is revealed in depth in Breathe and Grow Rich. I have questions about the new book, Breathe and Grow Rich 1. What does breathing have to do with getting rich? Riches, prosperity includes an abundance of all good things—Wholeness, including Health, Wealth and Joy. Breathe and Grow Rich is a step by step guide engaging a person in activity leading to goal acquisition, achievement or manifestation. 2. Is this like “The Secret?” Only in the sense that it promotes a better understanding of the value of focusing one’s mind in living the best life possible. It is unlike in that it does not “sell hope without technique.” Breathe and Grow Rich provides an understanding of “the process” backed by method. 3. Will this book tell me exactly what to do? Breathe and Grow Rich is a how-to for those who’d like to have more energy and accomplish more in their lives. The promise to the reader who adopts the technique is noticeable beneficial change in less than 30 days. 4. The subtitle of the book is Self-Care to Enrich Your Whole Life. What does that mean? Accepting responsibility for, being responsive to one’s health is the first step. The first step is in learning and using a breathing technique as if it was an exercise like walking—something you do because it benefits you and feels good. Few actually achieve their goal of living a life of purpose, passion and productivity. They run out of energy—physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. The cause of the problem could be low energy. As energetic beings we can control the 85% of our bio-chemistry that help us energize, think better, be clearer, have a better mood and feel lighter. The secret, if there is , in this book is cultivating your breath. From the Edge views the appearance of a progressive unfoldment of humanity awakening to its Self. Will this unfoldment lead in a full-circle to where it once more becomes each person’s duty in life and their greatest joy, to live to the fullness of their potential? What part will you play? The world is rapidly changing and more than ever we each need to be attentive to, responsive to our environment—what the world serves up to us—and be fully present if we are to achieve the best results. The trick or secret strategy known to the few and seldom shared with any? Just Breathe! and then do the next thing. Present moment awareness is the key and it requires that we be monitoring the breath as we move throughout our day, events and interactions. This doesn’t mean that you don’t script your talk or outline your ideas before a presentation. Don’t skip making a list when you go grocery shopping either. It does, however, mean that if you stay scripted you could miss an opportunity to be present, relevant and truly helpful. Think of when we sit down together for a session in which I play the facilitator and you play the person with a question, challenge or issue. How would you like it if I had a script or preplanned method of interacting with you? Wouldn’t you rather, wouldn’t you prefer that I, instead, be fully present and engaged with you personally? Of course you would. So also does you world prefer your being present and not distracted or lost in thought. The roles we all play may be familiar and offer a sense of safety and security. Let us, however, remember that we aren’t the roles we play and be willing to engage the present as it and the people in it require. To be able to do so, it is helpful if you practice your Full Wave Breathing. I don’t get a royalty or anything each time you do it; tho’ that would be nice. I do, however, get to play a small part in making your life and the world in general a better place. Perform your Full Wave Breathing exercises because it is a gift to yourself and you to your world. We are moving into a new era and one where, with people finally accepting that their thoughts affect them, they are beginning to take a look at how their thought affect others. We are
all energy and all energy is electromagnetic. And we generally prefer being
around people who generate an upbeat and cheerful energy instead of someone who
would be referred to as a “downer.” When we are up, we lift those who are
down—or on a lower frequency. Maybe your being cheerful today means the wife
doesn’t get yelled at, the kid doesn’t get whacked and the dog, not kicked. Why do you suppose that was my experience since the particular hurdle of getting by a secretary or other person designated to protect an executive or business owner is such an issue for so many? Maybe it was because I personally believed I was there to assist the one upon whom I was calling; that the gatekeeper has an important job and would assist me if I were open and honest; that being pleasant to everyone was part of my job. In short, the energy I was putting out got me in. Now that I live a less visible life, the clerks at the stores and the trade’s people are still open and friendly. I guess what I am putting out is still getting me in—the heart energy radiation being perceived and received. What kind of energy are you putting out? How’d you like to put out the highest vibration of which you are capable? It’s a soul thing. And working with those who are interested in raising their vibration, radiating love and acceptance for others, are those with whom I’d like to work each month. You can think of Planet Earth as a pet store filled with puppies—humans of various levels of evolution—going through their day. Focus on their hearts and judgment about their actions dissolves—because if you or I were in the situation they are in, with the same background and experience, our behavior would be like theirs. Take a journey with me and dare to live on the edge. Use your Full Wave Breathing as the tool to maintain balance. What is the edge? How about the place between your full forgetting and your full remembering of who you (we, all of us) are? Spiritual beings re-membering themselves—putting ourselves back together—is who we all are. How far along we are in the process is referred to as our evolutionary status. How evolved we are then is how determined by how far along we are on the spectrum from being totally unconscious—dominated by ego drive—to being progressively awake to the divine origin and nature of humans and all life expressions. Forgive them! Modern medicine’s sole purpose is to conquer disease. As long as our minds and bodies are the battlegrounds, however, it is you or me paying the part of the patient who must bear the burden of holding this perspective. The burden is expensive and yields treatment that, not considering the energetic nature of the human organism, does not seek cause. Instead this approach treats symptoms that alternately are suppressed only to come out in an energetically different form. Remember the part in the newsletter where you are asked to consider pain, discomfort or disease as a communication from the mindbodyspirit system? Using this philosophy, dealing with any physical, emotional or mental discomfort would be pretty simple. It would, however, require that a person sit and become still—breathing helps—and asking what the message from the discomfort happens to be. And it could be two or three things that are out of balance that the symptom is attempting to communicate. One of the biggest problems in getting people to see pain, discomfort or disease as communication is that we’d have to take the position that we live in an ordered Universe—even one of purpose—as differentiated from living in a chaotic one, beset by outside influences such as having bacterial organisms visited upon us that cause ailments. So if the Universe had order (and purpose) then each of us would welcome the communication since we would be eager to correct any energetic imbalance and get on with living the fullest life available to us. Well, it is an interesting idea though, isn’t it? What would we do with those employed as medical practitioners, the legions of nurses, and other helpers engaged in many disciplines? If everyone could self-heal or was well, wouldn’t the sickcare industry suffer? Yes, it is true that being well is only profitable to the experiencer of the condition. And it may be awhile—even if the truth could be communicated—before such a movement might catch on. Let’s see, how could we put it? How about, there are laws of nature regarding food, breathing and exercise and if you follow them, your mindbodyspirit system maintains balance and is self healing. That’s probably too simple, isn’t it? Please be aware that we create our dissenter or adversarial roles. We establish for ourselves the dynamic with the one we face repeatedly until we remember that we created this dissenter. We are never the victims of it. We will come to understand in this realm that all energies are negative, positive, or neutral. (It is the neutral part that most of us forget is also an option.) We face the same fear, the same adversary, the same enemy, until we remember that the perceived enemy is only some facet of ourselves that we chose to face through our interactions with another as our reflection. THE ADVERSARY IS OUR EXPERIENCE OF CONFRONTING THE FEAR THAT WE CREATED. THE PURPOSE OF THE CREATION IS TO MOVE US TO HARMONY AND LOVE. We face your real adversary everyday in the mirror. It is only ourselves. The beings outside us that we believe “do it to us” are only reflections of our inner psyche—our internalized fears based upon our life experience. Let us maintain our courageous nature and step forth to face the unknown, the inner selves that we hide. We are invited, for our healing, to open our psyche to facets within self that need and wish to be reintegrated. In examining our shadow-selves, re-opening our inner planes, we may find our adversaries with critical voices. We are instructed to ask for and receive the grace of the universal consciousness to clear out those shadow selves from our crystalline expression that they are made whole with us again. THIS IS THE PATH OF SELF MASTERY AND EMPOWERMENT The ancient Vedic culture of India used the expression “you art that which you seek.” The testament commands, “Man, know thyself.” This is what it means—face the adversary and recognize the light. LET THE QUEST OF SELF DISCOVERY BEGIN! The individual who holds no judgments about self has nothing to fear in this life. When we no longer think or tell ourselves that certain experiences are frightening, there will be no more fear. Whom or what do we fear the most? What is it about them that we fear—their loud voice, their physical strength, and their inner power? These are shades of self, reflections from the mirrors within us. All the people in our life were created by us to provide exercises in life for our inner learning. Are we ready now to acknowledge that we have had enough struggles? Are we prepared to face those inner fears that we created in some other times and spaces? When we feel strong and focused, let us call them forth, remembering they are nothing more than facets of our soul. In simply facing and loving them, they resolve, leaving us with the experience of wholeness. IT IS REALLY THIS EASY TO RELEASE FEAR: YOU FACE IT, PROJECT TO IT THE RADIANT INNER LIGHT FROM THE LOVE OF OUR HEART, AND IT MELTS. Please remember that energy is simply energy. We create it. We manifest it. We react to it. We are always free to transform it through the strength and inner peace of our being. We have an inner light. Are we aware of this flame within self? Or has our “pilot light of the universe” been extinguished from our lack of awareness? If so, we call upon our own Masterful Presence in our quiet meditations, to renew the fire of our faith in Self. We have examined the nature of the adversarial role. We understand that the nature of the life experience is that of individual growth. When even one of us chooses courage to face shadowy fears, we provide courage for all people with whom we connect. We pull along the path of the positive all those who assist the process through their participation as our reflections. When we choose to confront and reintegrate even one shadow of ourselves, we release others from their agreement to play our adversary. We also release ourselves from ever needing to explore that fear again. So be it! Be in peace! Your Healthy Heart (continued from last month) These are the major players in the circulation game: Heart: About the size of your fist – a bit larger, actually – your heart is mainly a muscle with four chambers, called atria and ventricles, where blood enters and is pumped back out to your body and lungs. Electrical signals from your heart’s natural pacemaker trigger your heartbeat, causing the chambers to contract and force blood through. Valves between chambers open and close to keep blood flowing in the right direction. Lungs: After your blood has circulated through your body and collected waste, it returns to your heart, which sends the blood to your lungs through the pulmonary artery. Your lungs release the blood’s carbon dioxide waste through your exhale and also feed blood with a fresh supply of oxygen gathered through your inhale. This exchange happens within lung capillaries. The blood returns to your heart through pulmonary veins. Your heart then pumps this oxygen-rich blood to your body to provide you with nourishment. Blood: Your blood stream is composed primarily of a light-brown, somewhat clear liquid called plasma, which is water with dissolved salts and minerals. The rest is made up mainly of red blood cells, which deliver oxygen and retrieve waste. Your blood also contains white blood cells, the infection fighters, and an assortment of other substances including nutrients (gathered through digestion) and hormones. Pulmonary Circulation: This is the process of blood circulating between your heart and your lungs, through dedicated veins and arteries as well as lung capillaries. Coronary Circulation: Heart tissue needs to stay healthy, too. It’s nourished by blood flowing through the coronary circulation subsystem – a network of capillaries within the heart. Systemic Circulation: This part of the circulatory system refers to the rest of your body. It covers the route taken by your bloodstream from your heart to every part of your body (except for your heart and lungs) and back again. When your blood flows through your kidneys, these organs filter out much of the blood’s waste. Blood Vessels: These are the hollow tubes that transport blood throughout your body. They consist of arteries, veins, and capillaries Arteries: They carry blood away from your heart. You have major arteries in your arms, legs, neck, and head. When you take your pulse at your neck, for instance, you’re taking it at an artery, which expands and contracts in rhythm with your heartbeat. Veins: They return blood to the heart from major regions of the body. Inside veins are valves which prevent “backflow” of blood and also help transport blood back to the heart against the force of gravity. Capillaries: These are the tiniest blood vessels – blood cells pass through them in single file. Capillaries extend out into tissues in a web-like fashion from arteries and veins. Tissues receive oxygen and deposit waste into red blood cells through these thin but numerous capillaries.

I use this term instead “enlightenment” to describe what happens when you realize you are part of the One—actually the One—looking out from the personal identity eyes. The task, after having such an awakening, epiphany or illumination, is to live from that glimpse of conscious awareness full time or to “make real” the awareness. People who take our workshops often report such awakening or enlightening experiences. Then, as is inevitable since we are in bodies for a purpose, the euphoria passes and we are once again confronted with our daily lives. The stressors have not disappeared. It is not that you ignore pain. Do get out of pain first. If you have a condition, take care of it. Get the help you need. And do ask inside. Pose your question about your condition is your mind: Mindbody, what do I need to do about _______? Then Full Wave Breathe for 15 minutes and note your insights and answers. It usually doesn’t even take that long before you get an answer and achieve understanding of what steps to take. How would you treat illness if it was not your enemy, and was instead only a message concerning stressors in your mind and body? Most likely you would cooperate with the body using principles based upon natural health. The first place to begin is with the basic foundation of life, your breathing. Our mind and body work well until overloaded with stressors accumulating in cells and tissues. Chronic stress then makes us become a shallow breather, wearing down the immune system. Blood becomes toxic, and lacking oxygen and energy, the body is unable to defend itself against either internal or environmental stressors. The result is discomfort, disease, disability and premature death. Fortunately, for the wise, there is an alternative! Each of us can practice protective and preventative, remedial and restorative self-care by doing the things we already know to do to support autoimmune health: Update beliefs, eliminate toxins in food and water, manage toxic emotions, avoid toxic noise and breathe!
